YaY Quilt Shop!

Okay so you know how i talked about polka Doted fabric in my last post.? Well i did venture out to the Quilt shop and they had some yellow fabric with red polka dots on it by Moda. Not the exact same as the Riley Blakes but close enough and what is even better i didn't have to order it and wait for it to come in the mail to decide if it would work or not.. Yay so happy and I also picked up a few holiday fabrics too I really like the one with different colored bats all over it! :O)

I have got to get to work on my pillow now that i have the polka dot fabric!. I will share with you in the next post  what i have come up  so far..

Polka Dot Craziness!

I've spent the day looking for the right piece of fabric online to use for my new pillow that i am working on.  What I am wanting is yellow with red dots, not to big of dots and not to small of dots not to bright of a yellow either.. The fabric i had in the back of my mind i seen months ago  online is sold out it's by Riley Blake.  :O(  I did find several that are similar to the RB one.   They are from Fabric.com , Etsy and Allegro fabrics , Okay so my issues with these choices are -to big of dots, not the right yellow, or to small of dots and flannel not cotton.. The closes one to the Riley Blake is made out of flannel. I am going to go to our local Quilt shop tomorrow to see if they have anything.. If not i will order the one from Allegro's. and maybe Fabric.com. I think it would be best to get both to see them in person. I think buying fabric online sometimes is not always the best idea unless you have seen it in person..

Saltbox House Pillow

Hello guys how you doing?
 I wanted to pop on and share my Saltbox house pillow I made, I am also going to make other styles  soon too.  I am going to work on making chimneys for the next ones, i think that will add a nice homey touch to them.

This morning we went to Joanns to purchase sock yarn I am going to crochet wreaths for the doors and maybe windows on the next  house pillows I make and i think i will crochet trim going around the windows too, who know what i will come up with or end up doing :O)? We also stopped in Hobby Lobby to grab some beads  (they were on sale half off) to decorate the wreaths with. While we were in HL of course i needed a new container to put all my new beads in so i used my 40% to buy a container to store them in. I love it..

I have this idea to make a new pillow it will be a while though, I am going to take my time and do a lot of research before i make it. I want it to turn out just right.. :O) I will share the process as i get going on it..

Fabric and chit~chat.

Last week was the most busiest week ever. I have been shopping for fabric,yarn and back to school cloths for Hailey. Still not even finished yet. She doesn't start school till the end of August.

I want to get some house cleaning in today and i haven't exercised in a long time. I just kind of put it on the back burner. I can feel a difference and i don't like it. So that means i need to get back into the routine of it. I know once Hailey goes back to school and it all settles down around here, I can get back to my routine. In the summer it's hard to keep a routine you know, well at least for me..

I went to Joanns on Saturday and picked up some Halloween fabric. The Christmas selection they have right now in store isn't the greatest of choices i think. So i just grabbed Halloween fabric.

Not sure what i'll make this week? I want to work on so many things but I'm not really selling  much of anything so my finished items pile is taking over my craft room. :O)  That's okay with me though i will just find more places to stash everything heehee, so i can keep on crafting and doing what i love..

This coming week will get a little heck-tick Hailey is going to watch Kayla's dog and guinea pig for a week while she and her hubby go to California.  That will be nice huh..
